Continental East Development, Inc., Celebrates Groundbreaking of Renaissance Villages, Moreno Valley

MORENO VALLEY, CA Continental East Development and USA Continental Regional Center recently celebrated the groundbreaking of their third EB-5 offering, Renaissance Village in Moreno Valley. It is the first phase of a three-phase project. The next phase will be located in Murrieta.

With hard hats on and shovels in hand, project investors and CED principals broke ground on the 72,670 square-foot senior assisted living and memory care facility.

CED President/co-founder Al Rattan says, “There really hasn’t been a facility built for almost 20 years and our 80 [year-old] plus crowd is growing older and there’s a significant need. Our statistics are showing us that there’s a more than 90 percent demand . . . We felt that this particular project is at the right location. It’s right next to a shopping center.”

Renaissance Village will be a full care, 24 hour facility with memory care and a professional staff to include a dietician, physical therapist and nursing director. There will be 150 beds and residents can choose from floor plans ranging in size from 500 to 800 square feet. The facility will feature a fully enclosed aquatic therapy pool, a dining room, bistro, library, and computer lab. Additionally, there will be a fitness center, art room, conference room and multipurpose room. Residents who enjoy gardening can take advantage of the raised gardening beds on the grounds.
CED’s Charlene Kussner says, “Our focus is going to be senior health and wellness. We are going to have a covered indoor pool. We’ll have therapists working with our clients in the pool keeping them active . . . and lots of outdoor activities to keep our seniors engaged outside and active.”

The facility was designed by BFHL, an architectural firm based in San Francisco, who also designed the next phases of Renaissance Villages BFHL architect Ralph Lotito says the design of the facility was inspired by the Spanish Colonial style.

The impact of the facility on the community of Moreno Valley is three-fold, “Number one, it’s an economic development. Number two, it will create jobs, and number three, it will provide much needed care for the residents of our city, State Dan Driscl Construction manager Renaissance Villages, Moreno Valley is scheduled for completion in June 2014.
